Mt Juliet is blessed with many great First Responders that serve our city and our new Deputy Fire Chief Joey Edwards is no exception! Deputy Chief Edwards has only been on the job for about a month but he’s fitting right in. Right after his arrival, he responded to a fire and ran command. Chief Jamie Luffman said it felt like they had worked together for years.
Edward’s background is steeped heavily in the education of fire fighters. Although he’s only 36 years old, he has 20 years experience. That puts him starting his career at the age of 16. (His parents had to sign a waiver to allow him to be a part of the fire department at that age.)
We welcome Deputy Chief Edwards to Mt Juliet and we honor him this month as our First Responder of the month!
